Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Navaratri in different parts of

India and Bangladesh, is one of the most significant and widely

celebrated Hindu festivals. It is primarily observed in the Indian states of

West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Odisha, and Tripura, as well as by Bengali

communities around the world. Durga Puja typically takes place in the

autumn months, usually in September or October and lasts for about

ten days.
