Adda is a Bengali community organisation based in Slough, UK. It was set up in 2012 and well known for its various community activities. Adda, Slough as it is better known, is well reputed for its Kali Puja which it is organising since 2013. Over the years Adda’s popularity has grown stronger due to cordiality, food quality, cultural activities and reach out to all over the country. Adda is also famous for its grand Saraswati Puja and children’s programme. Apart from Pujas Adda is quite well known in its sporting endeavour where it organises several sporting events in cricket, football and badminton. Among these Adda cricket tournament has made own place among sports loving communities in UK. Several local Indian communities, professional organisations and sporting clubs take part in Adda’s annual cricket tournament. Last year the tournament was blessed by Sourav Ganguly and this year Adda organised the tournament and coaching day in association with MS Dhoni cricket academy. Adda is one of the pioneers in promoting Bengali movies and cinema in UK. Where lot of organisations screen Bengali movies as one off activity, Adda is committed to bring the community closer and that’s why it brings lead actors, musicians, directors as well in the premiere of the movies and people love it. It strongly promotes connections between groups and individuals and outreach of Bengali film industry abroad. In past, artists like Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar and others have already attended such movie events.
